Geschichte
Das Tragen von Schmuck zur Verzierung und zum Ritual mag bereits vor 7.000 Jahren begonnen haben und Archäologen haben Beweise dafür gefunden dass Menschen im alten Ägypten, Mesopotamien und China Armbänder trugen. Frühe Armbänder wurden aus Gräsern, schlanken Ästen und Muscheln, dann aus Kupfer und Bronze gefertigt. Nach der Bronzezeit (2000 bis 1400 v. Chr.), machten Handwerker Armbänder aus Gold und Silber. Sie wurden dekorativer, mit Muscheln und Steinen geschmückt und als Schmuck ein Symbol für Reichtum und Status.
